A cold front will pass through the region this morning with strong northwesterly winds developing in its wake, the National Weather Service said.
Winds may gust near 25 mph later this morning and through the afternoon before decreasing tonight.
The strongest winds will be to the north of the Kansas City area. Winds here will still be strong and gusty but not as windy as areas to the north.
Temperatures were 43 degrees at 9 a.m. Tuesday, and that's probably the highest the temperatures will be today. Look for temperatures to be about 38 at noon.
Skies today will be mostly sunny, and Wednesday's weather will be colder, with a high of 36, and sunny.
Thursday will see more breezy weather with a high of 43, and Friday, skies will be mostly sunny with a high of 28.
