Wyandotte County’s temperatures will warm up today, with a high of 44 degrees in the forecast. That means a lot of the snow on the ground for the past week may melt.
The mostly sunny day will include a west wind from 8 to 13 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
At 8 a.m., the temperature was 30 degrees, with a wind chill of 22.
Tonight, there is a 20 percent chance of snow with a low of 27.
On Friday, temperatures will reach 39 degrees, and on Saturday, 49. North-northwest winds will pick up Friday, with gusts as high as 18 mph. On Saturday, south-southeast winds will shift to the west and will gust as high as 21 mph.
Sunday’s forecast is 44 degrees. On Monday, Presidents Day, there is a chance of rain with a high of 52. On Wednesday, Feb. 26, the weather service predicts 60-degree weather.
