Sporting Kansas City enters the 2013 MLS Cup Playoffs as the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference and will open the team's postseason against the New England Revolution at 7 p.m. on Saturday at Gillette Stadium.
The Eastern Conference Semifinals match will air live locally on KSMO, as well as nationally on the NBC Sports Network. Sports Radio 810 WHB (English) and La Gran D 1340 AM (Spanish) will also broadcast the game live.
The Boulevard Members Club at Sporting Park will be the host of the team's official watch party. Doors open at 6 p.m. and parking is available in Lot D. The event is free and open to the public.
At 10 a.m. today, tickets for Sporting Kansas City's first home playoff match went on sale to the general public via Ticketmaster.com. The time and date for the match have not been determined by Major League Soccer. Sporting Park will be the host of the decisive second leg in the Eastern Conference Semifinals with the winner advancing on aggregate goals scored over the two-game series.
