Wyandot, Inc. will hold its Annual Meeting and Celebration Thursday, Sept. 12, and will recognize three community partners and employees marking service anniversaries, and present three special awards to staff demonstrating outstanding service.
The program will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the organization’s mid-Wyandotte County location, 1301 N. 47th St., Kansas City, Kan.
Receiving Community Partner Awards will be:
• Rita Hoag, city clerk, Bonner Springs, Kan., who has served several years as chairperson of the Western Wyandotte County Citizens’ Advisory Council of Wyandot Center and PACES.
• Metro Lutheran Ministry, with whom Kim Wilson Housing and Wyandot Center collaborate to provide housing opportunities for adult consumers.
• Sunflower House, a child advocacy center that strives to protect children from abuse and for which PACES provides on-site therapy services.
Forty-nine employees will receive anniversary awards ranging from five years to 35 years. Three special awards will be presented in recognition of meritorious service by staff.
