A 5K nighttime walk Friday, July 19, at Sporting Park, Kansas City, Kan., will raise funds for rent and utility assistance and help the needy in the community.
The second annual 5K benefit nighttime run-walk, sponsored by Cross-Lines Community Outreach, will start with a registration time at 8 p.m. Friday at the soccer stadium in Village West, and the walk begins at 9 p.m.
According to Cross-Lines, the needs are increasing in the community, especially for rent and utility assistance.
Registration for the 5K benefit walk-run called is $35 for adults and $15 for kids. Participants also may register online through a link on the Cross-Lines website at www.cross-lines.org/.
