The 33rd annual Tiblow Days will be this weekend in Bonner Springs.
The Tiblow Days Parade will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24. The route is from Lions Park to Nettleton to Oak.
Other activities include a carnival, vendor booths, food and refreshments, barbecue competition, and musical entertainment.
Events will take place near 2nd and Cedar in downtown Bonner Springs. The event is sponsored by the Bonner Springs-Edwardsville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Friday, Aug. 23:
11 a.m. to 11 p.m., carnival, $20 wristband from 5 to 9 p.m.
5 p.m. to 11 p.m., vendor booths.
5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., People's Choice Barbecue, west lot at City Hall, $5 for five samples, supports Bonner Springs-Edwardsville school district's Education Foundation.
6 p.m., Mayor's banquet, Bonner Springs High School, Guest speaker, Superintendent Dan Brungardt.
6 p.m. to 11 p.m., Beer Garden, Centennial Park, supports Bonner Springs Project Grad.
7:30 p.m., Years Past Band, Centennial Park, free admission.
9:30 p.m., Syn City Cowboys Band, Centennial Park, free admission.
Saturday, Aug. 24:
All day, Smokin' on Oak Barbecue Competition, judging at noon.
6 to 9 a.m., Biscuit and gravy breakfast at First Christian Church, 148 N. Nettleton, Bonner Springs.
7 to 9 a.m., Tiblow Trot.
9 to 10:30 a.m., Car Show Staging, Midwest Bus Lot, 313 E. Front ST.
9 a.m. to 11 p.m., Carnival, wristband $20 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
