Tiblow Days continues Saturday
The 33rd annual Tiblow Days will be this weekend in Bonner Springs.
The Tiblow Days Parade will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24. The route is from Lions Park to Nettleton to Oak.
Other activities include a carnival, vendor booths, food and refreshments, barbecue competition, and musical entertainment.
Events will take place near 2nd and Cedar in downtown Bonner Springs. The event is sponsored by the Bonner Springs-Edwardsville Area Chamber of Commerce.
Program offered on Medicare
A program on Medicare Questions, or Preguntas Sobre Medicare, will be offered from 10 a.m. to noon Aug. 24 at the South Branch Library, Study Room 2, 3104 Strong Ave., Kansas City, Kan. Those attending may ask questions about changes to Medicare and learn how they would affect them.
Live at Legends continues Aug. 24
The Live at The Legends concert series continues from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at The Legends Outlets, at I-435 and I-70 in Kansas City, Kan. Red Guitar, a power pop folk rock group, will perform the free concert near the fountain courtyard area.
Church to hold picnic
Members of St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1300 N. 18th St., will meet at the beach shelter at Wyandotte County Lake at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, for a parish picnic. Don Compier will be the guest clergyman at the 10 a.m. Sunday service Aug. 25.
Church to hold ice cream social
Christ the King Catholic Church, 3024 N. 53rd St., is planning an ice cream social starting after the 4 p.m. Mass on Saturday, Aug. 24. The social will be in the upper parking lot from 5 to 10 p.m. The social includes food, drink, games, ice cream and cake and other events.
