The 14th Annual River Run will benefit Southwest Boulevard Family Health Care, a not-for-profit clinic in Kansas City, Kan., on Saturday, June 29.
Registration is at 10:30 a.m. and the Bike Run begins at noon, at Turkey Creek Cycles, 5816 Merriam Drive, Merriam, Kan.
There is a $15 advance fee per biker or player and includes a River Run T-shirt, poker hand, and breakfast; $20 on the day of the event.
The pre-event from 10 a.m. to noon at Turkey Creek Cycles will be followed by the River Run from noon to about 5 p.m. It will end at Red Eye, Kansas City, Kan., where there will be an auction and blues band, Titanium Blue.
“The River Run supports the Southwest Boulevard. Family Health Care Fitness Center so we can continue to serve families and help them with getting fit,” said Priscilla Allen, fitness director, Southwest Boulevard Family Health Care and River Run coordinator. Turkey Creek Cycles, J.E. Dunn, and X Your Size, are the official sponsors of the Bike Run.
Southwest Boulevard Family Health Care offers health, dental, nutrition, and fitness offers a Changes program to fight obesity and help clients with losing weight through fitness and nutrition.
The clinic provides more than $1 million of charity care annually and donations help ensure that the work of Southwest Boulevard Family Health Care continues.
