A Kansas City, Kan., Applebee’s restaurant will hold a lemonade toast Tuesday at the same time as hundreds of other Applebee’s restaurants across the country.
During the “National Lemonade Toast,” Applebee’s neighborhoods nationwide will celebrate raising more than the $4 million for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). Guests will be served a glass of lemonade to raise in honor of the tremendous fundraising efforts to support pediatric cancer research.
Participating Applebee’s restaurants raised funds throughout July in support of ALSF by donating a portion of the sale of each lemonade through their Summer Squeeze promotion. Additionally, Applebee’s guests could donate to ALSF by purchasing a paper lemon to be displayed within the restaurant.
Just before 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, guests at the Applebee's at 3404 Rainbow Blvd., Kansas City, Kan., will be served lemonade and will be encouraged to make a toast to the fundraising effort.
