The Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools has canceled classes Monday, Jan. 6, because of the weather, according to a note posted on its Facebook page.
The cancellation is due to the snow and a forecast for bitter cold temperatures, according to the announcement.
The Piper Public School district also announced on its website that classes are canceled Monday, Jan. 6. The cancellation was due to extreme weather conditions, according to the announcement.
The Bonner Springs School District was not scheduled to have school on Monday, Jan. 6. School in Bonner Springs was scheduled to resume Tuesday, Jan. 7.
The Turner Public Schools also was not scheduled to have classes on Monday, Jan. 6. School in Turner was scheduled to resume Tuesday, Jan. 7.
