The program began with greetings by Cedric Patton, who introduced the master of ceremonies, James Connelly, past president of Johnson County Kansas NAACP Branch. Scripture by Carolyn Mitchell was followed by acknowledgment of past Kansas City, Kan., NAACP officers by Mary Ann Flunder.
