An annual health fair is planned from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 11, at Kansas City Kansas Community College, Jewell Building, 7250 State Ave.
The health fair includes health tests, a lab drawing station, three dentists, and booths from health organizations.
Forty-two vendors are participating. The health fair is open to the community.
There will be free blood pressure tests, free height, weight and body mass index measurements and free hearing screenings.
The lab station will have blood chemistry tests, CBC, and lipid profiles. There will be a charge for the tests.
There also will be drawings for door prizes; there is no entry fee for the drawing, and no admission charge to the health fair.
Several students in the respiratory therapy program will have a booth; and nurses will also staff a booth. Other students will help taking heights and weights, and help guide participants.
The health fair will include a kids corner, and dentists will be available to do free dental checks.
