Concerts will be performed at a truck industry show Friday, Oct. 18, and Saturday, Oct. 19, at the Kansas Speedway, Kansas City, Kan.
The events are open to members of the Owner-Operator Independent Drivers Association, nonmembers and the public.
The rock band Kansas will perform Friday, Oct. 18, in a concert that starts at 7 p.m. with the opening group, Rock, Paper, Scissors performing first.
On Saturday night, Oct. 19, the music will continue with country singer Leland Martin followed by Eagles tribute band Seven Bridges Road. Inside the show area, country singer Lindsay Lawler will perform during the daytime show hours as well as Kansas City’s Beatles tribute band, Liverpool, and local blues band Doghouse Daddies.
Attendees can plan on a weekend of gatherings, education, contests, truck beauty competitions, concerts, food, and vendors in celebrating the association’s 40the anniversary. Safety and wellness will be emphasized at the event.
Show hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.
Registration is required in order to attend the trucking show. Registration after Sept. 30 is $10 and can be done at the show website or at the gate.
