Nominations are being sought for awards recognizing those who are dedicated to the mission of the Saint Vincent and Duchesne clinics.
The awards include:
Sister Rosalie Mahoney Award - Volunteer of the Year
Lives the spirit of Sister Rosalie Mahoney through tireless dedication and service to the mission of Saint Vincent and Duchesne Clinics.
Caritas Award - Group of the Year
Civic group, congregation, or community partner who, in the spirit of Louise de Marillac:
Enables the clinics to serve its neighbors with humility and kindness, and is a bridge to connect
those who have and those who have not.
Community Servant of the Year
Elected or appointed public official who:
Supports the mission and work of Saint Vincent and Duchesne Clinics, and
Promotes access to quality healthcare for the poor and vulnerable in our communities.
Business of the Year
Partners with the clinics to improve the health of the individuals and communities it serves.
Promotes healthy communities through their work in Wyandotte-Leavenworth counties or
Promotes healthy work environments for their employees and the people of Wyandotte and

Nominations are due by Oct. 31, 2013. The winners will be honored at the 15th annual
Caritas Celebrates on April 26, 2014.
The clinics provide a wide range of services, including diagnosis and treatment of acute
illnesses; ongoing management of chronic diseases; referrals for dental, optical and
specialized medical care; and assistance with access to prescription medication for low income,
uninsured adult residents of Wyandotte and Leavenworth counties. In 2012 the
clinics team of staff and volunteer providers cared for 3,299 patients, averaging 74 patient
visits per day.
