Spring on the Farm is a time for sprouting crops, blooming flowers and baby animals.
See what animals may be found on the farm from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 27 at the National Agricultural Center and Hall of Fame, 126th and State, Bonner Springs.
Animals will include chicks, calves, alpacas, sheep, goats, bees, pigs, horses, and burros.
Ride the Shriner’s Fire Wagons, hay wagons and miniature train. Enjoy pig races, milking and sheep shearing demonstrations, soil tunnel trailer, hands-on kids farming activities, Blacksmith, Living History. Free ice cream will be served, with food vendors available.
The host of the event is the Leavenworth County Farm Bureau. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children 4 to 16, and under 4, free.
