Stride for Life donation
The Wyandotte Nation’s 7th Street Casino, 777 N 7th Street Trafficway in Kansas City, Kan., held its Stride for Life event May 18 and raised $5,700 for Special Olympics of Kansas City.
The casino holds the event, a 5K run-walk through downtown Kansas City, Kan., every year in support of a local charity. The past few years it has raised money for women’s heart health and KU Oncology.
Representatives from the casino and the Wyandotte Nation presented a check to Deb Larimore, public relations liaison for Special Olympics Kansas Tuesday evening, June 11.
The Wyandotte Nation is a federally recognized Native American Tribe headquartered in Wyandotte, Okla.
