A woman has been charged in a stolen car case that occurred Monday near 18th and Parallel. Two children were in a vehicle when it was stolen.
The children, ages 9 and 1, were later left near a community center near 12th and Troup. They were not injured. The charges against the woman were filed by Wyandotte County District Attorney Jerome Gorman.
Brittany McKinley, 23, is in custody in the Wyandotte County Detention Center on charges of aggravated burglary, felony theft, and two counts of misdemeanor endangering a child, according to officials.
Her bond has been set at $50,000. She is presumed innocent until proven guilty, Gorman stated.
