An accident that happened while one vehicle was passing another on the Kansas Turnpike Monday caused an injury to a Bonner Springs driver.
A 41-year-old Bonner Springs woman was driving a Honda CR-V westbound on I-70 w and was passing a 1995 Peterbilt tractor when she spun out, hit the wall, bounced off the wall and struck the truck, according to a trooper's report. Her vehicle then entered the ditch.
The report stated the woman was going too fast for conditions. The accident happened at 7:38 a.m. June 17.
She was injured and taken to the hospital, according to the report.
The 54-year-old Shawnee, Kan., truck driver was not injured.
