The Unified Government Commission plans to meet at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. Aug. 15 at City Hall, 701 N. 7th St., Kansas City, Kan.
A 5 p.m. special session on the ninth floor will include a closed meeting on labor negotiations.
At 6 p.m., a special session is scheduled on the Municipal Court judge selection process.
At 7 p.m., the regular UG Commission meeting is scheduled in the Commission Chambers, lobby level, City Hall.
A public hearing is scheduled on the Project 2 area of the Metropolitan Avenue Redevelopment District TIF in the Argentine area, including the Walmart Neighborhood Market Grocery Store.
Another public hearing that was scheduled earlier has been canceled and will be rescheduled, according to the agenda. The developer has requested to delay the hearing until Sept. 12. That hearing will be on the $15 million MainStreet Property Group development, a 100-bed skilled nursing and assisted living facility at 8900 Parallel Parkway.
Other items on the 7 p.m. meeting agenda include:
- An ordinance directing the legal staff to commence legal proceedings to acquire property for the Merriam Lane, 24th to 10th Street project.
- Review of the plat of Highlands at Piper Third Plat, 106th Terrace and Clubhouse Drive.
- Review of plat of Spurlock’s Hillside, South 51st and Berry Road.
- Appointment of delegates to the Kansas Association of Counties Conference Oct. 29-31 in Wichita.
