Channel 41 news is reporting today that Unified Government Commissioner Tarence Maddox was arrested for assault in Kansas City, Mo., Saturday, Aug. 17.
According to the NBC Action News report, the police report said an incident happened at Legoland, when a disagreement occurred about Legoland honoring coupons. The police report alleged an assault by Maddox, who has been a football defensive coach for youth and a youth group leader. There were no injuries, according to the police report.

The police report stated that Maddox was booked on allegations of intentionally causing an unlawful, offensive contact and interfering with a public safety officer. According to the police report, the officers asked Maddox to stand up and put his hands behind his back, but he remained seated, holding his hands at his sides, according to the police report. He later stood up and police forcibly put handcuffs on him, according to the report.
The Wyandotte Daily News tried to reach Commissioner Maddox for a comment at a home phone number that had been listed in his name, but was unable to reach him.
