The Unified Government Commission will meet at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3.
The 4:30 pm. meeting will be a commission district virtual tour, held in the auditorium of the Wyandotte County Public Health Department, 619 Ann Ave., Kansas City, Kan.
The 7 p.m. regular meeting will be in the Commission Chambers, lobby level, City Hall, 701 N. 7th.
Scheduled at the 7 p.m. meeting is an appeal public hearing on the denial of a liquor license by Martita’s Club, 4960 State Ave., owned by Medina Enterprises.
Also on the agenda is commission authorization for the UG to get a $19.89 million loan from the state of Kansas for engineering studies and sewer improvements. The UG has been approved for the loan from the Kansas Department of Health and Environment. The UG is under a consent decree with the Environmental Protection Agency and Department of Justice for the wastewater treatment project.
Several other items also are on the agenda.
The UG Commission also plans to go into a closed session.
