The Unified Government Commission approved an agreement with the FOP Lodge 4, representing police officers, at the Sept. 12 meeting.
There is no pay increase in the agreement, a UG spokesman said. It calls for FOP Lodge 4 members to receive a one-time grant of 60 hours of additional paid leave, according to documents.
The one-year agreement is retroactive to Jan. 1, 2013, and is in effect until Dec. 31, 2013, according to UG documents.
The agreement calls for a starting minimum monthly salary of $3,368.10, rising to $4,324.70 in the third year, and includes several other levels until the top level, over 10-year amount of $6,251.03 per month.
The agreement had already been ratified by members of FOP Lodge 4, according to UG Administrator Dennis Hays.
The Sheriff's Department officers are under a separate contract agreement.
Also approved at the meeting:
- A resolution to sell fire-damaged property at 14th and Central Avenue;
- An ordinance to terminate the Zion Redevelopment District and terminate tax increment financing for the district;
- A resolution of intent to issue $219 million in industrial revenue bonds for PQ Corp. expansion at 1700 Kansas Ave.;
- Appointments to boards and commissions; and
- Land Bank items.
The commission also held a closed session on property acquisition,labor negotiations and litigation.
