Temperatures are dropping in Kansas City, Kan., today, as drizzle falls.
At 8 a.m., temperatures were 40 degrees and that’s about as high as they will get today.
A little fog or mist may affect driving conditions this morning, according to the National Weather Service.
The forecast from the weather service predicts 37 degrees at noon, 35 degrees at 6 p.m., 29 degrees at 9 p.m. and 26 degrees at midnight.
The area is seeing areas of drizzle before 1 p.m. Wednesday, then mostly cloudy skies., the weather service said. By 3 a.m. Thursday, temperatures should be about 23 degrees. They will fall to 21 at 6 a.m. Thursday before starting to climb back into the mid-20s on Thursday.
Friday’s temperatures, though, will be mostly in the teens, perhaps reaching 22 degrees in the afternoon.
Light snow is possible Thursday in the region, south of Wyandotte County. Another storm system with snow is predicted late Saturday night.
