Some road construction project are happening in the Wyandotte County area, and could affect traffic to and from Sporting Park, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.
In Wyandotte County, the I-70 pavement repair project from 78th Street to I-635 is anticipated to result in two lanes closed for pavement patching work beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10. Eastbound will be reduced to one open lane beginning at 11 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, with all lanes reopening to all traffic at 6 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 11.
Project work is scheduled to be completed on Sunday, Aug. 11.
In Johnson County, on I-435, the right three lanes from Antioch Road to State Line Road will be closed for pavement marking work beginning at 7 p.m. and reopening to all traffic at 8 a.m. the next morning, Aug. 9 to 11. Project work is scheduled to be completed on Monday, Aug. 12.
Also mostly in Johnson County, the K-7 resurfacing project from Johnson Drive to north of the Kansas River resulted in some closures that should now be completed.
