Kansas City, Kan., police are investigating a shooting that was reported about 6 p.m. June 7 in the 1300 block of Freeman Avenue, according to a police spokesman.
Officers found two gunshot victims at the location. One was a male in his 40s and the other was a woman in her late 30s. Both had non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital.
Police said the initial investigation indicates a male gunman opened fire on a gathering in the area and fled the scene in a dark, possibly blue sport utility vehicle.
