Kansas City, Kan., police today captured three persons who tried to flee on foot after they allegedly drove south on 10th Street near Central Avenue today, firing a shotgun into the air.
According to a police spokesman, about 12:25 p.m. Oct. 10, police officers saw the dark-colored four-door vehicle driving on 10th Street, firing the shotgun into the air.
When officers attempted to stop the vehicle, it accelerated, lost control and struck a utility pole in the area of 10th and Pacific, according to the police spokesman. Three persons exited the vehicle and attempted to flee, the spokesman said.
Police apprehended them near the scene, according to the spokesman. One of the persons had minor injuries caused by the accident, police said.
