A pedestrian was injured in a traffic accident at 9:45 p.m. Jan. 31 on I-70, a little east of the 7th Street exit in Kansas City, Kan.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol trooper's report, the pedestrian was walking on the left shoulder of I-70 eastbound.
A 2000 Chevrolet Malibu driven by a Raytown, Mo., woman drove across the yellow line to the left, striking the pedestrian, the trooper's report stated.
The report says the 35-year-old woman was injured.
The pedestrian, a 53-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man, was injured and taken to the hospital, according to the report.
