Maxine C. Wilcox, age 92, died in her home with her family by her side on Saturday, March 2, 2013.
Maxine was a homemaker, avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She lived most her life in Kansas City, Kan.
She was preceded in death by her husband Elmo C. Wilcox, in 2004, and three grandsons, Teddy, Ronald Jr., and Elmo.
She is survived by her son, Ronald L. Wilcox Sr. (wife Georgiana), Hawaii; daughter, Opal Wheeler (husband Bob), Topeka, Kan.; three sisters, Delores Thompson, Topeka, Kan., Ruth Smith, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Charlene Eighmy, Glen, Colo.; two brothers, Marvin Britt, Clarinda, Iowa, Dean Britt, Ogden, Utah; five grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 8, at the Mary Butler Meyers Funeral Home, 6300 Parallel Parkway, Kansas City, Kan. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be Chapel Hill Cemetery, Kansas City, Kan.
