Kansas City, Kan., has a new municipal judge.
Brandy Nichols was approved as a Municipal Court judge on Thursday, Sept. 19, by the Unified Government commissioners.
Nichols currently is assistant counsel for the UG Legal Department.
An opening for a municipal judge was created when former Municipal Judge Aaron Roberts was appointed a Wyandotte County District Court judge in May.
Also at the UG meeting, Slavin Management Consultants was chosen as the company that will help recruit the next UG administrator.
