New candidate filings, as of the noon deadline Jan. 22, include Daniel Serda and T.J. Reardon in the 2nd District, Unified Government commissioner contest; Gayle E. Townsend and Winfred Manning in the 1st District, UG commissioner race; and Veronica Knight, Kendon McClaine and Jane Winkler Philbrook in the 8th District, UG commissioner contest.
According to information from the Wyandotte County election commissioner's office online, several new candidates have filed for office.
All UG seats now have opposition.
The candidates include:

Unified Government Commissioner at large, 2nd District: Harold (Hal) Walker, Thomas (T.J.) Reardon, and Daniel Serda.
