A Wyandotte County District Court jury late Friday convicted Lorenzo M. Pulliam, 28, of second-degree murder, attempted voluntary manslaughter and criminal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
The charges were in connection with the Aug. 23, 2012, shooting death of Zachary Burton and the attempted killing of another person, according to the district attorney's office. The crimes occurred in the 3100 block of West 45th Avenue in Kansas City, Kan.
The firearm charge arose from Pulliam having a prior felony conviction.
Sentencing is set for 1:30 p.m. Aug. 16 in division 4 of the district court. Assistant district attorneys Cathy A. Eaton and Katie Devlin prosecuted the case.
