Water levels are down at Wyandotte County Lake.
Wyandotte County Lake levels are low.
A visit to the lake on Saturday showed the drought has had an effect on the lake.
The lake's boat ramp currently has a sign that states boat loading or unloading is not allowed. The boats may bottom out.
On the brighter side, the Leavenworth Road Association recently participated in Eagle Day on Saturday, holding a food fundraiser there. The LRA made $330.50. Volunteers Deniese Davis, John Zawacki, Rose Marie Allman, Bill Murray Carl Kaster and Dixie Kaster. helped with the event.
The program at the Schlagle Library was a huge success. The crafts for kids made me want to go over to make some of the crafts myself. The bird information and showing had a standing room only audience at every showing they had and so much information.
