A 2002 Kia driven by a 45-year-old Hays, Kan., woman was T-boned in an accident on wet pavement on I-70 May 8.
According to the Kansas Turnpike Authority trooper's report, the accident happened about 11:12 p.m. May 8 on eastbound I-70, west of the 57th Street exit in Kansas City, Kan.
The Kia lost control and hydroplaned, according to the trooper's report. The Chevy was behind the Kia and T-boned it, the report stated.
The driver of the Kia was injured and taken to a hospital. A 29-year-old man from Hays, Kan., who was a passenger in the Kia was injured and taken to a hospital. A 5-year-old girl in the Kia also was injured and taken to a hospital, according to the report.
The driver of the Chevy, a 22-year-old woman from Miller, Mo., was not injured.
