An injury-accident was reported at 5:15 p.m. Oct. 9 on I-635 a little north of Merriam Drive in Kansas City, Kan.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, a driver was changing lanes on southbound I-635 and did not see other vehicles applying their brakes. A 2002 Mercury car struck a 2000 Toyota car, which then struck a 2011 Ford SUV, according to the report.
A 20-year-old Kansas City, Mo., woman driving the Mercury was taken to a hospital with a possible injury, the report stated.
A 70-year-old man driving the Toyota with a 73-year-old woman passenger from Overland Park, Kan., were not injured.
The 30-year-old woman from Merriam, Kan., driving the Ford SUV also was not injured, the report stated.
