Heavy rains with lightning moved through Wyandotte County from about 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 3.
According to the National Weather Service, a gust front was moving ahead of a cluster of thunderstorms. Winds could gust to nearly 30 mph. Behind the gust front is a small cluster of thunderstorms.
Parts of Kansas City, Kan., currently have calmed within the past five minutes, with the storm moving to the east.
