Emergency crews responded about 10:38 a.m. April 9 to an ammonia leak at 49th and Armstrong.
Crews discovered a 50-pound cylinder of anhydrous ammonia that was leaking, according to a Fire Department spokesman.
The Police Department closed off the street to traffic. There was a home in the area but it was far enough away not to be affected, the spokesman said.
Fire Department personnel capped off the cylinder and rendered it safe, according to the spokesman. There were no injuries.
