Two deaths July 11 at a Bonner Springs motel appear to be a murder-suicide, Bonner Springs police said today.
Two bodies were discovered by housekeeping staff about noon July 11 at the Holiday Inn Express, Bonner Springs, said Lt. George Collins of the Bonner Springs Police Department.
The two persons were traveling from North Carolina on their way to Seattle to visit family members, he said.
The victims were both in their 20s, from North Carolina, he said.
The two were driving through the area, and staying overnight, he said. The case is still under investigation, he added.
