A cold front is moving through the area today with a 30 percent chance of rain or precipitation, according to the National Weather Service.
Temperatures could fall into the mid-teens to around 20 degrees by Tuesday morning, the weather service forecast said.
Wind chill readings may reach the single digits across the region Tuesday morning.
At 11 a.m. Monday, it was 60 degrees in Wyandotte County.
By 3 p.m., temperatures may fall to 45 degrees, according to the forecast. By 6 p.m., it may be 39 degrees, and by 9 p.m., 31 degrees. The lowest temperature may be at 6 a.m. Tuesday, when it will be 24 degrees.
Showers are possible, mainly after 4 p.m. Monday. Winds will increase to 13 to 18 mph, gusting as high as 28 mph.
