Police chased a stolen vehicle on I-70 today and made an arrest near I-70 and Central Avenue in Kansas City, Kan.
According to a Kansas City, Kan., police spokesman, the owner of the vehicle saw the car being stolen around 12:15 p.m. Friday near 55th and Holliday Drive and notified police. The owner followed the vehicle for a distance, then police started to follow it.
The vehicle did not stop for police, the spokesman said. The pursuit went down I-70 and ended at Central near 7th, where the driver bailed out.
After a short search, the suspect was located and arrested, the spokesman said. The suspect is currently in jail, the spokesman said. There were no injuries in the incident.
