Alcott busy with Shakespeare, art expo, exhibit, and jam session

The Alcott Art Center Foundation is presenting several September events.
Sitplot Art Expo begins at 1 p.m. Sept. 11 and 12 with “Shakespeare in the Parking Lot.”
Public art will be for sale at the art expo, held in conjunction with the play.
The art expo runs from 1 to 6 p.m.
The play, “Much Ado About Nothing,” directed by Richard T. Sutton, is the fourth Shakespearean play that Alcott has performed. The show starts at 4:30 p.m. Sept. 11, 12, 18 and 19. Admission is $5 per person.
The September Second Saturday Arts Exhibit and Open Jam will be held Sept. 11 after the show.
Anna Jennings and Jared Presler are the featured artists this month. Jennings displays glass-work jewelry in the Harrison Gallery, and Presler will exhibit artwork and screen prints in the East Gallery.
Musicians will hold an open jam in the Alcott room.
