Sept. 6

42nd and Georgia. A vehicle was stopped in the roadway when it was hit by another vehicle head-on. The accident was reported as a hit-and-run.

Parallel Parkway at 38th. A vehicle was westbound on Parallel Parkway when another vehicle struck it while traveling southbound. It was a hti-and-run.

6000 block of Parallel Parkway. A vehicle was exiting the parking lot when it lost control and struck a vacuum-air machine.

Georgia at 47th. A vehicle was stopped at 47th and Georgia awaiting its turn to proceed, when another vehicle failed to stop and rear-ended it. The vehicle in back fled. An injury was reported.

Leavenworth Road at 47th. A vehicle was slowing down, getting ready to turn on 47th, headed eastbound on Leavenworth Road, when it rear-ended a vehicle that was disabled in the roadway. A third vehicle then struck the vehicle in the middle.

18th and Freeman. A vehicle was southbound on 18th, left the roadway and struck a tree.

Sept. 5

Sears Drive and 65th. A vehicle headed southwest on Sears Drive lost control and struck a tree. An injury was reported.

State at 50th. A driver was stopped at a traffic light when a vehicle struck her from behind. The vehicle in back fled.

Leavenworth Road at 55th. Two vehicles were heading east on Leavenworth Road when one struck the other from behind.

South 26th and Kansas. A vehicle was southbound in the northbound lane. A motorcyclist that was northbound applied his brakes and slid into the ditch.

400 block of North 31st. A vehicle was behind another vehicle in a driveway when the vehicle in front backed up into the vehicle in the rear. The vehicle in the front fled. The accident was reported as a hit-and-run.

Washington at 36th.  Vehicle westbound on Washington struck a parked vehicle. The accident was reported as a hit-and-run.

Tauromee at 7th. A vehicle was eastbound on Tauromee, and struck a vehicle, which then struck a third vehicle, which in turn struck a fourth vehicle. A DUI was reported.

Sept. 4

29th and Oakland. A vehicle was parked on 29th facing north, when it was struck by a vehicle traveling north on 29th.

29th and State. A vehicle was southbound on 29th when it was struck from the rear.

59th and Edith. A vehicle was traveling east on Edith when it was hit by another vehicle. The second vehicle fled. An injury was reported.

Central at I-70. A vehicle was traveling west on Central at a high rate of speed when it collided with another vehicle turning left onto I-70. An injury was reported.

Washington Boulevard and Waterway Drive. A vehicle eastbound on Washington, stopped at a stop sign. Another driver eastbound on Washington failed to stop and hit the first vehicle. The second vehicle left the scene.

400 block of North 22nd. A vehicle left the roadway, went up the driveway and struck a wall, gutter downspout and gas meter before leaving the scene. It was raining at the time.

Parallel Parkway and 33rd. A vehicle traveling west on Parallel Parkway was distracted by gunfire about 10:28 p.m. and then struck a Unified Government-owned reflective sign. The accident was reported as a hit-and-run.

10th and Central. A vehicle was stopped in traffic on 10th, southbound just north of Central, when it was struck in the rear by another vehicle.

South 22nd Terrace  and Vista. A driver northbound on South 22nd Terrace about 4:03 a.m. struck a house on the street, causing damage to the garage door and a truck inside the garage. The accident was reported as a DUI.

Sept. 3

I-35 and 18th Street Expressway. A vehicle was southbound in the outside lane of I-35 when another vehicle changed lanes and struck it. The vehicle that changed lanes fled. The accident is reported as a hit-and-run.

Ridge at 72nd. A vehicle backing out of a driveway hit a parked car.

Kaw Drive at Turner Diagonal. A vehicle entered Kaw Drive without yielding to oncoming traffic and was stuck by a vehicle.

7800 block of State. A vehicle backing from the parking space struck another vehicle.

State at 10th. A vehicle was traveling eastbound through the intersection when a collision occurred with a vehicle turning right.

Haskell at 10th. A vehicle backed out of a driveway on Haskell and went the wrong direction on Haskell, striking a parked vehicle. The first vehicle fled.

Washington Boulevard at 15th. A vehicle was traveling eastbound on Washington Boulevard struck a vehicle backing out of a driveway.

Holliday Drive and Inland Drive. A vehicle westbound on Holliday struck a deer, then went off the road to the right and hit a tree.

Sept. 2

South 53rd Terrace and Woodend. A parked vehicle on 53rd Terrace was struck by a vehicle. The accident was reported as a hit-and-run.

Parallel Parkway at 59th. A vehicle was stopped at the light in traffic when another vehicle approached from behind but could not stop. The vehicle in back struck the rear of the vehicle in front.

Parallel and 29th. A vehicle was westbound on Parallel when it went off the roadway, striking a utility pole.

2400 block of 11th. A vehicle backed off the roadway into a fence gate, striking a parked vehicle.

Parallel Parkway at 90th. A vehicle traveling east on Parallel Parkway struck a westbound vehicle attempting to turn south. Then the vehicle attempting to turn south struck a third vehicle that was stopped and waiting to turn.

Holliday Drive at 65th. A vehicle traveling eastbound at 11:39 p.m. ran off the left side of the road and struck a guardrail. The accident was reported as a hit-and-run, DUI and injury.

Kansas Avenue and U.S. 69. A vehicle sideswiped another vehicle traveling west on Kansas. Both vehicles were attempting to turn. The first vehicle sustained minor damage.

4400 block of Shawnee Drive. A vehicle was southbound, backing out of a parking stall, when it struck another vehicle.
