Some fireworks displays and musical entertainment are scheduled around the Fourth of July.
   The free events are the “Live at The Legends” concert from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 3, and the annual Independence Day fireworks display at 9:45 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at Pierson Park in the Turner area.
   July 3 -- Post-game fireworks are planned at the T-Bones game, which starts at 7:05 p.m. Saturday at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, Village West.
   July 3 – Free “Live at The Legends” concert from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at The  Legends Outlets, courtyard fountain area. The July 3 concert features John Joiner playing progressive, country and rock music.
   July 3 -- Unity Tour 2010: 311 and The Offspring with special guests Pepper will play at Capitol Federal Park at Sandstone, 126th and State, Bonner Springs, at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 3. For more information, visit sandstoneamp.com/events.
   July 3 -- The annual Independence Day fireworks display will be held at 9:45 p.m. Saturday, July 3, at Pierson Park Lake, 55th and Douglas, Kansas City, Kansas. The event is free and open to the public. Those attending may bring blankets and lawn chairs. Some families bring a picnic dinner, arriving at 4 or 5 p.m.
   July 4 – Post-game fireworks will be presented by Verizon at the T-Bones contest. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. Sunday at CommunityAmerica Ballpark, Village West.
