There was lots of music and dancing at the Mardi Gras celebration Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Medicalodges in Kansas City, Kan. Women of the Drum, a dance group from City in Motion School of Dance, entertained with a rhythmic dancing and drumming performance based on a Rio de Janeiro style. Staff and residents were encouraged to dress in the traditional Mardi Gras colors of purple, gold and green, wear funny hats and participate in a king or queen crowning.
