Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 2203 Parallel, plans a Fall Dinner from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, in the Blessed Sacrament Family Center. A traditional Thanksgiving turkey dinner is planned.

Edwardsville United Methodist Church, 302 N 4th St., Edwardsville, Annual Turkey Dinner and Bazaar will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. Requested donations are $10 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under. A turkey dinner with all the fixings will be served. Handmade Christmas gifts will be available in the craft and baked goods bazaar.
First Christian Church, 1000 Argentine Blvd., will have a fall bazaar from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9. Crafts, cards and cookbooks, new and nearly new items will be for sale. The Ladies group will serve lunch and dinner: Ham and beans with cornbread, pie and drink; or vegetable soup, cornbread, pie and drink for a donation of $6. There will be a country kitchen with baked goods.
Grandview Christian Church, 8550 Parallel Parkway, is collecting canned goods for Help 3:17, a local food pantry.
The Holy Family Altar Society will hold its annual chili supper and turkey bingo on Nov. 9 at Mejak Hall, 513 Ohio, Kansas City, Kan. The Wyandotte County mayors, in cooperation with the Christian Businessmen’s Committee, are holding the 39th annual Mayors' Prayer Breakfast at 7 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8. Seating begins at 6:45 a.m. The breakfast buffet and program will be held at the Reardon Civic Center at 500 Minnesota Ave., Kansas City, Kan. Tickets are $20 per person. The Open Door Recovery Group is sponsoring a concert for the East Hill Singers at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 17, at the Open Door Baptist Church, 3033 N. 103rd Terrace. The East Hill Singers are a prison chorus from the Lansing Correctional Facility, a ministry of Arts in Prison for those in minimum security. The chorus includes inmates and volunteers.

Wyandotte United Methodist Church, 7901 Oakland Ave., will honor veterans at all worship services Nov. 10. The guest speaker will be the Rev. Mike Chamberlain, district superintendent, who is a veteran. An all-church breakfast is planned from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Nov. 23. There will be a free-will donation.
The quilters group at Zion United Church of Christ, 2711 N. 72nd, recently donated 35 quilts to children at a children’s home in Kenya. The church plans a congregational meeting on Nov. 10 after the 10:45 a.m. service.
