Festivities will follow from 5 to 10 p.m. at Mejak Hall, Gym and School Grounds, 513 Ohio, Kansas City, Kan. Included are an authentic Slovenian dinner, big silent auction, children and adult games, cultural booth and souvenirs. Open Door Baptist Church, 3033 N. 103rd Terrace, is planning an outdoor meadow church service at 10:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 8, with casual dress suggested. After the service will be a fellowship potluck luncheon at 12:30 p.m. Indoor and outdoor seating will be available. Following the luncheon will be classic games for all ages from 1:15 to 3 p.m. including croquet, sack races, three-legged race, putting game, horseshoes, tug-o-war and more. A variety show will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and ice cream will be served. Hymns and special recognition will be from 4:30 to 5 p.m.
