The 19th annual golf classic to benefit the Sisters, Servants of Mary, is set for Friday, June 28, at Dub’s Dread Golf Course, 126th and Hollingsworth Road, Kansas City, Kan. Proceeds will go toward renovating the Sisters’ convent. Registration and lunch are from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Amino Brothers Co., Inc., is the lunch sponsor. At 12:20 p.m., the Sisters will participate in the annual putting contest. . “Highest Praise,” a music and drama ministry, will be in concert at 7 p.m. June 28 at Stony Point Christian Church, 149 S. 78th St., Kansas City, Kan. The music and drama presentation is free to the public. Stony Point Church is sponsoring a Patriotic Festival at 6 p.m. Saturday, June 29, at the church park. The free festival includes a moonwalk, inflatable slide, live music, free food, face painting and fireworks.

Several programs are being offered at Wyandotte United Methodist Church, 7901 Oakland Ave. Free salsa lessons are held from 3 to 4 p.m. each Saturday in June at Wyandotte United Methodist Church, and new participants are welcome. The church is collecting school supplies for Cross-Lines during June and through the middle of July.
