Christ the King Catholic Church, 3024 N. 53rd St., plans Holy Week services including Holy Thursday Mass at 7 p.m. March 28; Good Friday service at 7 p.m. March 29; Easter Vigil, 5:30 p.m. March 30; Easter Mass, 9:30 a.m. March 31.
Grandview Christian Church, 8550 Parallel Parkway, is collecting canned goods for Help 3:17, a local food pantry. The church plans Good Friday worship at 6:30 p.m. March 29, and Easter breakfast at 9:15 a.m. March 31. Sunday morning worship is at 10:45 a.m.
Judson Baptist Church, 8300 State Ave., plans a children’s Easter party from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. March 30. Children from age 2 to fifth grade may attend. The church will have a Maundy Thursday service at 7 p.m. March 28, and Easter services at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. March 31.
“Vatican II – the Times, the Man, and the Lasting Legacy,” is a free four-part series to be presented by Jennifer Greene, pastoral minister, from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, April 3 - 24, at Keeler Women’s Center, 2220 Central Ave., Kansas City, Kan. The program will look at the state of the church at the time of John XXIII’s election, John XXIII himself, Council highlights and two major documents — “Church in the Modern World” and “People of God.” Call 913-906-8990 to register.
On March 30, Living Water United Methodist Church, 3001 N. 115th St., will hold a community Easter egg hunt and indoor carnival complete with inflatables, pictures with the Easter bunny, cookie decorating, fire truck, hot dog lunch, and carnival games. Registration begins at 10 a.m.
The Salvation Army Harbor Light Village, 6723 State Ave., in Kansas City, Kan., is holding a Community Easter Breakfast for Wyandotte County residents. The Community Easter Breakfast is being held at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, March 31. The breakfast takes place at 9:30 a.m. and will be followed by Sunday worship at 11 a.m. Following the worship service, there will be an Easter egg hunt, which starts at 12:15 p.m. for all children ages 12 and younger. St. Patrick Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th, is holding a fish dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. each Friday of Lent in the Parish Center. The cost of the dinner is $8 to $10 per person; carryout is available. A family price is available. Baked cod, fried catfish, boiled shrimp, fried shrimp, and mac and cheese are available. Side dishes, dessert and drink are included. The Holy Week schedule includes 6:30 p.m. English language and 8 p.m. Spanish language on Holy Thursday, March 28; 3 p.m. Stations of the Cross on Good Friday, 6:30 p.m. in English and 8 p.m. in Spanish March 29; blessing of food at 2 p.m. and Easter Vigil Mass at 8 p.m. Holy Saturday, March 30; and Easter Masses at 7:30 a.m., 9:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in English and 2 p.m. in Spanish on March 31.

Services will be in English and Spanish. A palm parade and Easter egg hunt will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 30. Easter Sunday services in English will be at 10 a.m. March 31 followed by services in Spanish at 1:30 p.m.
Stony Point Christian Church, 149 S. 78th, is planning its annual Easter Egg hunt for toddlers through fifth-graders at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 30, at the church park. Those attending should bring their own baskets. The event will be moved indoors in case of inclement weather. Easter services are planned at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. March 31, with Sunday School at 9:50 a.m.
Persons of all Christian traditions are invited to participate in Taizé prayer on Thursday, April 4, at 7 p.m. in Annunciation Chapel on the campus of the Mother House of the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, 4200 S. 4th St., Leavenworth, Kan. Taizé prayer is a meditative, candlelit service that includes simple chants sung repeatedly, silence, and prayers of praise and intercession. White Church Christian Church, 2200 N. 85th, (one block north of Parallel Parkway), will observe Holy Week (March 27 through 31) starting with Maundy Thursday services at 6:30 p.m., Good Friday services at 6:30 p.m., and a 24-hour prayer vigil starting on Friday at 6:30 p.m., ending at 6:30 p.m. Saturday. There will be an Easter egg hunt Saturday, March 30, for children. Sunday's sunrise service is at 8 a.m. and a continental breakfast will be served afterwards.
Wyandotte United Methodist Church, 7901 Oakland Ave., will hold a Women’s Bible Study at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday. Free salsa lessons are offered from 3 to 4 p.m. each Saturday in March at Wyandotte UMC. The church will hold a Maundy Thursday Communion service at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 28. Wyandotte UMC will hold Easter services including a sunrise service at 6:30 a.m., continental breakfast from 7 to 7:45 a.m., traditional service at 8 a.m., contemporary service at 9:30 a.m. and blended service at 10:45 a.m. March 31.
