Cross-Lines Community Outreach has been awarded a $23,606 grant through the Kansas Health Foundation’s Recognition Grants for the “Hope Totes” program.

Hope Totes are packages of essential healthy living and hygiene supplies given to people served by Cross-Lines. Items in the totes may include toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, soap, deodorant, dish soap and laundry detergent.

Each tote also includes a healthy living tip or resource.

“The growing need for these items is ongoing, particularly since many of our clientele are on food stamps and these items are exempt from those purchases,” said Roberta Lindbeck, Cross-Lines executive director. “Cross-Lines is very grateful to the Kansas Health Foundation for recognizing the importance of this program.”
