UG Commission to consider planning items tonight
Several planning and zoning items are on the agenda for the 7 p.m. Jan. 26 Unified Government Commission meeting.
On the agenda is a special use permit application for two years for live entertainment and five years for the winery, for the Wine Barn LLC, 2850 N. 119th St. Some petitions have been submitted for and against approval.
The commission also is expected to consider planning reviews for a Rainbow Boulevard mixed use development, at 3930 Rainbow Blvd.; and for a Board of Public Utilities 4 million gallon reservoir and piping at 4301 Brenner Road, near the Missouri River.
The agenda also includes:
- Change of zone, Pang Fua Y. Xiong with Mighty Auto Sales, from C-1 limited business district to CP-2 planned general business district for a used car lot with light repair-service work at 6005 Leavenworth Road.
- Change of zone, Jon Birkel with City Vision Ministries, from RP-5 planned apartment district to R-3 townhouse district for three townhomes at 406, 408, 412, 416 and 420 Richmond Ave.
- Special use permit application, Gary Foderberg for OR Development, renewal of permit for a dirt fill for two years at 5701 Kaw Drive.
- Special use permit, two years, Ed Linnebur with Downtown Shareholders, sign project, banners, in the downtown area at several locations, some intersections on Minnesota, State, Armstrong, Ann, Sandusky and Washington avenues.
- Special use permit, Jose Moreno for Par-T-Pub, drinking establishment at 2519 Park Drive, one year.
- Vacation of a street at 3916 N. 99th, Leroy M. Ratliff.
- Vacation of a street at 10200 Donahoo Road, Leroy M. Ratliff.
- An ordinance rezoning property from two-family district to MP-2 planned general industrial district at 922 S. Boeke, 932 Cheyenne Ave., 911 S. Ferree, and 913 S. Ferree.
- An ordinance rezoning property at 1904 S. 74th from R-1 single family district to MP-2 planned general industrial district.
- An ordinance vacating an alley at 1124 Pawnee Ave.
- An ordinance vacating a street at 1027 S. Pyle.
- An ordinance vacating an alley at 1028 S. Bethany.
- Special use permit application, Noah Hiatt with Wine Barn LLC, for live entertainment in conjunction with an existing special use permit at 2850 N. 119th St.
- A request to travel to Washington, D.C., from March 3-7 to attend the NACO Legislative Conference, by Commissioner Tom Cooley.
