“Creating a Global Perspective for Small Business and Entrepreneurs” will be the focus of the second in a Business Solution Series at Kansas City Kansas Community College Tuesday, Feb. 26.
Mehgan Flynn, director of the World Trade Center Kansas City, will be the featured speaker at the breakfast meeting to be held at 8 a.m. in Room 3632 of the Flint Building on the KCKCC campus at 7250 State Ave.
The World Trade Center Kansas City is a regional organization dedicated to assisting small businesses with global expansion. In addition, Flynn is the co-founder of the online retail store, WyCo Vintage. Based in Kansas City, Kan., its exports make up nearly half of total sales.
“With 96 percent of the world’s consumers outside the United States’ borders, it is critical for entrepreneurs and businesses to think and act globally,” Flynn said. “Through this program, participants can learn about the vast resources available to small businesses for starting or expanding up their global operations.”
Flynn will speak at 8:15 a.m. with questions and answers and networking to follow. The cost is $10 and includes breakfast. Advanced registration is requested and can be made by contacting KCKCC Workforce Development Coordinator Jay Matlack at 913-288-7210 or email@example.com.
